  • Getting started is easy! Simply register online at:

    You'll create a profile for your dog, upload vaccination records, complete care instructions, and request services.

  • At Tails on Trails, we offer a true home-away-from-home experience. Unlike traditional boarding facilities, dogs stay in our home and become part of our daily routine. We provide personalized care, supervised play, enrichment activities, and plenty of outdoor time in the beautiful mountains of McCall, Idaho.

    We intentionally keep our group sizes small so that every dog receives the attention, structure, and affection they deserve.

  • Please bring your dog's regular food and enough to last for the entirety of their stay, along with any medications, supplements, or special dietary items they may need. Keeping your dog on their normal diet helps prevent digestive upset and ensures a comfortable transition while away from home.

    We provide comfortable bedding, food and water bowls, a safe home-style environment.

  • Dogs stay inside our home and spend time both indoors and outdoors throughout the day. At night, each dog sleeps safely in their own individual kennel, ensuring comfort, structure, and a restful night's sleep.

  • For the safety of all guests, dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo), and Bordetella vaccinations. Proof of vaccination is required before your dog's stay.

  • Absolutely! We love sharing photos and updates whenever possible so you can see your dog having fun and settling in comfortably while you're away.

  • Drop-off and pick-up hours are:

    7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
    4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

    If pickup or drop-off is needed outside those hours, there is an additional:

    $15 Extended Care Fee

    $75 per night on holidays

    $45 per day

    If your dog prefers a more independent experience, we can discuss accommodations during the booking process.

  • We are nestled in the heart of the mountains of McCall, Idaho, Tails on Trails is surrounded by some of the area's most beautiful natural scenery. Located just seconds from Ponderosa State Park and tucked between the sparkling waters of Payette Lake and Little Payette Lake, our property provides the perfect setting for adventure, exploration, and relaxation.

    We're conveniently located just 1.5 miles from downtown McCall, making drop-offs and pick-ups easy while still offering a peaceful mountain setting away from the hustle and bustle.
