Meet your Trainer

Tyger has always had a loyal canine companion by his side, motivating him to stay active and explore the outdoors. After a brief period without a furry friend, he felt a void and decided it was time to find a new four-legged partner. The fateful meeting with a dog named “Hank” marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Formerly known as Hank, the rechristened “Kona” was a reactive black lab from a local shelter, eager for water and adventure. Initially facing challenges with Kona's behavior in public and around other dogs, Tyger experienced moments of frustration and self-consciousness. Witnessing similar struggles among fellow dog owners, he embarked on a quest into the realm of professional dog training. Influenced by esteemed trainers like Michael Ellis, The Monks of New Skete, and Cesar Millan. Tyger embraced their philosophies and techniques, emphasizing compassionate, composed leadership. He admired how these experts fostered a harmonious bond with dogs, guiding them with ease and mutual respect. Corrections, when necessary, were gentle and purposeful, rooted in a profound understanding of canine behavior.

Tyger firmly upholds a philosophy of balanced form training, wherein he exercises kindness, empathy, and encouragement while simultaneously valuing the importance of accountability and positive reinforcement. He ensures that any reinforcement is executed with empathy, steering clear of any harsh or forceful methods. Corrections are strategically implemented to communicate to the dog that certain behaviors are unacceptable.

Above all, Tyger firmly believes that every single dog, regardless of background or breed, deserves the chance to understand and meet the expectations set for them. Every canine companion should have the opportunity to not just exist but truly flourish within their surroundings.
