1. Introduction:
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Tails and Trails dog boarding, day care, grooming, training and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By booking or using our Services, you (“Owner” or “you”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Services Offered:
Boarding: Overnight care in a supervised environment.
Day Care: Supervised care during daytime hours.
Additional Services: Feeding, walks, grooming, training, administering medication, and other services as specified.
Behavior and health assessments may be required before admission.
3. Reservation and Scheduling: All bookings must be made in writing (online form, email, or in-person).
A current, valid vaccination record may be required (see Vet Requirements).
Reservations are subject to availability. A confirmation will be provided after receipt of booking.
Changes to dates or services may incur fees as described in the Cancellation Policy.
4. Pricing and Payment:
Payment Terms: Payments due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.
Taxes: Applicable taxes will be added where required by law.
Late Fees: A late pickup/drop off fee may apply if the Owner fails to collect the dog after the agreed time.
Invoices: Receipts will be provided upon payment.
5. Vet and Health Requirements:
Vaccinations: Dogs must be current on core vaccines (e.g., distemper, parvovirus, rabies). Specify any additional required vaccines.
Health Status: Dogs must be in good health to attend Services. Dogs with contagious conditions may be refused admission.
Medication: We may administer medications as directed by the Owner. We reserve the right to decline if safety concerns arise.
Illness/Injury: If a dog becomes ill or injured, we will contact the Owner. If unable to reach the Owner, we may seek veterinary care at the Owner’s expense.
6. Intake, Assessment, and Behavior:
Evaluation: All dogs may undergo a supervised assessment to determine compatibility with other dogs and staff.
Behavior: Owners must disclose known aggressive, fear-based, or unpredictable behaviors. Dogs with aggressive tendencies toward people or other animals may be restricted or refused admission.
Other Animals: If applicable, information about other pets at home may be requested to assess environmental compatibility.
7. Health, Safety, and Welfare:
Supervision: All dogs are supervised by trained staff. We follow established safety protocols.
Isolation: Dogs showing signs of illness or injury may be isolated from others and monitored.
Environment: We maintain clean facilities. Owners must provide an appropriately sized crate or area for the dog if required by the facility.
Supplies: We provide food, water, and bedding as described in the service package unless the Owner specifies otherwise.
8. Food and Diet:
Feeding: Dogs may be fed according to the Owner’s instructions. If no instructions are provided, we will feed as per our standard diet.
Special Diets: Special or prescription diets may incur additional fees and require a veterinary note or clear instructions.
9. Owner Responsibilities:
Access: Ensure accurate contact information and emergency contact details are up to date.
Instructions: Provide clear, written care instructions including feeding, exercise, medication, and any special needs.
Welfare: Remove valuables and ensure the dog’s collar and ID tags are secure. Owners are responsible for damages caused by their dog.
Pickup/Drop-off: Adhere to scheduled times. Late pickups may incur fees.
10. Cancellations and Refunds:
Cancellation Policy: Provide terms (e.g., notice period, non-refundable deposits, or credits).
Weather/Emergency Cancellations: Policy for unexpected closures or cancellations.
No-Show: Fees for no-shows may apply.
11. Liability and Waiver:
Limitation of Liability: We strive to provide safe care but cannot guarantee against all risks. The Owner agrees to assume risk for ordinary, foreseeable incidents.
Excluded Damages: We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, chronic illnesses, or injuries not caused by our negligence.
Insurance: We maintain liability insurance as required by applicable law. Owners may be required to provide proof of pet insurance or counter-indemnity if requested.
12. Indemnity:
The Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Tails on Tails, its employees, contractors, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the dog’s participation in the Services, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Imaging and Use of Likeness:
We may photograph or video dogs for safety, training, or marketing purposes. By using our Services, Owners consent to use of such images unless they opt out in writing.
14. Data Privacy:
We collect personal data (Owner and dog information) to provide Services. Our privacy policy explains how data is stored, used, and shared.
Data Sharing: We do not share personal data with third parties except as necessary to provide Services, to comply with legal obligations, or with your consent.
15. Termination:
We may terminate or suspend Services for reasons including, but not limited to, non-payment, violation of rules, unsafe dog behavior, or failure to comply with health requirements.
Termination does not waive obligations to pay for Services rendered prior to termination.
16. Force Majeure:
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, etc.).
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction].

18. Changes to Terms:
