Tails on Trails cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury, or damage to a person, dog, or property.
Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs when in public spaces.
Dogs must be under control and on a lead in public areas and off lead only when specifically instructed to by the trainer.
Your trainer is there to help, however, owners remain responsible for their dogs at all times.
Children are welcome to attend training sessions but for safety and consistency in training, children under the age of 16 must remain under adult parent/ guardian supervision. Parents may wish to speak with their children prior to sessions to explain how important it is to listen when involved in the session.
When training in public areas, all dogs must be fully wormed and protected by vaccines and had a full health check by a vet.
Any health problems must be stated at the time of booking and if likely to affect training we must receive a vet referral before commencing training with Tails on Trails.
All bite history must be declared at the time of booking.
One to one sessions, residential courses and training days require a 50% deposit to secure the booking. For 1:1 sessions, the remainder is to be paid within 48 hours of the service commencing and for residential training courses and training days, the remainder is to be paid 1 week in advance of the service commencing.
Booking is not confirmed until the 50% deposit has been paid.
Cancellations of 1:1 sessions within 24 hours of the booking are non-refundable.
Cancellations are required to be made as soon as possible via telephone/email.
If you cancel a session on two occasions, with less than 48 hours notice, your training will be terminated.
If you forget to turn up to a session on two occasions, then the training will be terminated. Tails on Trails may consider true emergencies on a one-to-one basis and reschedule without charge.
Travel costs apply to each appointment where we travel to you.
I authorize Tails on Trails to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my dog(s). I understand that every effort will be made to contact me prior to obtaining emergency care. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care.
I declare that everything discussed during the consultation I know is true and a fair representation of my dog(s).
All sessions run between 9am and 6pm.
Tails on Trails reserve the right to choose the clients it works with. We only work with clients that want to achieve the best results possible for both themselves and their dog. For this reason, clients must be open to the use of both positive and negative reinforcement. Every dog is different and therefore the use of different tools may be needed, this includes the use of slip leads, harnesses, flat collar, prong collar, longline, ecollar, dog backpack, crate, dog bed.
